The Technology Transfer team with support from resource partners throughout campus, serves as the hub of all technology commercialization activities at the University.

We are responsible for the protection, management and licensing of intellectual property for the University of Central Florida. Faculty members are the primary source of intellectual property, either through the invention of new products or processes, or through know-how and expertise in certain fields. Students and staff members can also participate in this process.

We work to foster new relationships with industry-- long lasting partnerships in sponsored research, new innovation development, technology outlicensing, and the formation of start-up companies. 

Our licensing team is part of the Office of Research and Commercialization. We are a service oriented organization and we work as a team to serve UCF's faculty, staff and students by,

• Facilitation of the protection of intellectual property at the University
• Assistance with preparing and submitting Invention Disclosure forms for commercial consideration
• Strategic planning for the successful transfer of innovations to the marketplace
• Negotiation of license and option agreements for UCF's innovation to commercial interests.
• Educational opportunities in technology commercialization and academic entrepreneurship
• Unique opportunities for targeted interaction between UCF's Innovators and industry, investors, and the community
