By establishing an easy to work process and system UCF delivers valuable technology to partners who will create community development, new jobs and further research funding for University research.
Commercialization partners include entrepreneurs, investors, new start ups, institutional investors and established firms. The licensing process begins with selection of appropriate IP, (Available Technologies) and then with the development of a Term Sheet (Term Sheet). Finally, the licensing process will conclude with an Option, Non-Exclusive or Exclusive License.
UCF has also established a new class of Intellectual Property which will afford firms the opportunity to easily license IP as a pseudo Option for one year as an opportunity to look at the IP before they proceed into the full license process.
