Software developed at UCF is powering a new way of learning.
Today’s student expects their learning experience to be as mobile-centric as they are. DreamDegree™ is a dynamic educational experience that serves up course content to students in their individual learning style, when they are ready and where they spend the most time – on their mobile devices. And technology developed at the Institute for Simulation and Training (IST) at UCF is supporting this interactive mobile learning experience.
California-based SignificantTechnology, LLC licensed the technology developed by David Metcalf, Ph.D. and his research team in the Mixed Emerging Technology Integration Lab (METIL) at IST to support its existing cloud-based learning tool. In addition to assisting the adaptive learning experience, the UCF technology uses the principals of gamification to reinforce learning objectives by encouraging students to work as a team in competitive environments.
